Common Issues andFAQs:Tandoor does not work:Please check if circuit breaker or RDC has tripped and move it up again.
This Tandoor requires over 10A current and 16A breaker is sometimes not sufficient. You will need 32A circuit breaker suitable for cookers without RCD or an RCD with over 100A as cookers can trip sensitive RCD circuit. Circuit breaker/ RCD trips:If you have low current circuit breaker or RCD or have multiple items running e. Microwave oven, electric oven, fridge, dishwasher etc your circuit breaker may trip. Ideally this tandoor should be plugged into cooker type socket and circuit breaker with 32A and not a sensitive RCD as RCD below 100A may find it sensitive.
16A circuit breaker is usually fine but may trip sometimes. Like we have 16A circuit breaker and if we turn on microwave oven at same time it trips and since we know it we are fine and had been using it since months. Ideally you will want a cooker socket installed by electrician with 32A circuit breaker but please note that 32A circuit breaker will require appropriate wiring to support the level of current and you cannot simply replace circuit breaker.
Mains cable management in the rear:This Tandoor operates at very high temperature to cook chapatis at high speed and its body especially at rear will get very hot. If your mains cable is touching rear of Tandoor it will start melting.
Please make sure that when hot you do not touch hot surface, and nothing touches the rear of Tandoor. Too much heat:You can turn thermostat down to adjust maximum heat.
Health and Safety:You must operate and manage this Tandoor like any other electric or gas cooker equipment e. Hob or electric plate and ensure that when it is hot you do not allow anyone near it or touch the hot surface especially at the top and rear.
If there is a major fault with it and it has not worked at all, please refer to common issues listed above before requesting return.
